Our Tucuma Butter has been obtained from the fruit from the Brazilian Amazon tree (Astrocaryum Tucuma). Native to Brazil, Tucuma Butter is cold pressed from the seed of the native Tucuma palm tree. A specialty from the Rain Forest, Tucuma Butter is prized for its rich content of; polyphenols to combat free radicals in the tissues, and fatty acids to protect and moisturize the skin. It is very similar, in chemical composition to another of the Brazilian Butters, Murumuru Butter.

Sher-Ray’s Tucuma Butter performs more like the actives, delivering true healing, and restructuring benefits, to the skin as it improves the skin’s moisture barriers and offers true hydration for improved elasticity and suppleness. It is also known to improve scarring and stretch marks. Tucuma Butter is rich in Lauric, Myristic and Oleic Acids and is considered to have excellent cell regeneration properties. High in vitamin A, the antioxidant properties in this exotic Amazonian butter help to keep the skin soft, smooth and nourished.

This butter has a natural gloss that brings a desirable shine to dry, damaged skin and acts as a wonderful moisturizer exhibiting lubricity. Tucuma Butter is solid at room temperature, but melts immediately upon contact with the skin. Tucuma Butter has great emolliency.

Our butter has been improved by deodorizing our butter and therefore it has an amazing texture and color. The density of our butter is improved through the rapid cooling and whipping process. We blend our butter with various essential oils to complete our Formulas. Apply sparingly as a little goes a long way.
